The Rain in February
In this calm rain of February
I see, already shaking from a slight wind,
the grass warbler like gray smoke;
I feel the rhythmic choirs of frogs
and, spinning melodious notes
from his old flute, the slimy toad.
Between pauses and breaths like an empty flower,
in that true story, I hear the voice
of the cuckoo calling love and death.
