Sophia Parnok

Sophia Parnok (1885–1933) was a Russian poet, journalist, and translator. Her collections of poems included Roses of Pieria (1922), The Vine (1923), and the libretto for The Little Mermaid, an opera by Yuliya Veysberg. In addition to her literary work, she published as a journalist under the pen name of Andrei Polianin.
