Licking Light

Light unlocks her sins

Licking dark light like a lizard’s tongue

The afternoon breaks open

Her music of radiance

The door is rolling on

The floor

And the colors of yesterday

Sunbathe in the shade

Mothers folding their arms in wooden crates

Grandmothers giving hickeys to bruised plums
