When My Childless Friend Asks What the Birth Was Like

Jaclyn Dwyer’s poetry and fiction have appeared in Pleiades , Ploughshares , Prairie Schooner , Hayden’s Ferry Review, Rattle , and Witness , among others. In 2015, she attended the Sewanee Writers’ Conference as a Tennessee Williams Scholar. She earned her MFA from the University of Notre Dame, where she received a Nicholas Sparks Fellowship, in 2009, and her PhD from Florida State University, where she received a Kingsbury Fellowship, in 2016. Dwyer is an assistant professor of creative writing at Malone University.
