On February 12, 2015, VCU’s Visiting Writer series hosted fiction writer Jean Thompson in Hibbs Hall. For the event, Thompson read from her book of short stories, The Witch and Other Tales Re-Told (Plume, 2014).

Jean Thompson is the author of six novels, including The Humanity Project (Blue Rider Press, 2013) and The Year We Left Home (Simon and Schuster, 2011), as well as six story collections, including Who Do You Love (Harcourt Brace, 1999), which was a National Book Award finalist.
