Tori Sharpe

Tori Sharpe’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing , Tar River Poetry , and The Louisville Review . She is the recipient of the 2008 Andrew Julius Gutow Poetry Prize and the 2008 Burleson Award from the University of Texas. She was also a finalist for a 2011 AWP Intro Journals Award. Sharpe was a scholar in poetry at the 2006 Sewanee Writers’ Conference and a staff member in 2007. She received her MFA in creative writing from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009, and is a doctoral fellow at the University of North Texas, where she is pursuing a PhD in English with a concentration in creative writing. Sharpe is the assistant poetry editor of the American Literary Review .
