His work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Southern Review , Tupelo Quarterly , The Offing , and The Normal School . He is recipient of a Sewanee Writers’ Conference Tennessee Williams Scholarship and was a New Millennium Nonfiction Prize finalist. He has had residencies at the Jentel Foundation, the Vermont Studio Center, and Le Moulin à Nef in Auvillar, France. He has taught creative writing and literature at various institutions in the U.S. and abroad, and is now a member of the English faculty at The Morristown-Beard School in Morristown, New Jersey.
