Laura Browder

Laura Browder is the author, most recently, of Her Best Shot: Women and Guns in America (UP of North Carolina, 2006) . Her first book, Rousing the Nation: Radical Culture in Depression America (UP of Massachusetts, 1998), was named a Choice outstanding Academic Title of the Year. She was awarded grants from the Massachusetts Council for the Arts and Humanities and the Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities and Public Policy for her play Spitting Into the Wind .
