Kwoya Fagin Maples

Kwoya Fagin Maples is the author of the chapbook Something of Yours (Finishing Line Press, 2010). Her current manuscript, MEND , is forthcoming from the University Press of Kentucky in 2018 and is a finalist for the Robert Dana Anhinga Poetry Prize. Her work has been published in several journals and anthologies, including The African American Review , pluck! , The Birmingham Poetry Review , and The Sow’s Ear Poetry Review . Maples received a grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation. She is a Cave Canem Fellow and a Homeschool Lambda Literary Fellow. Maples teaches creative writing at the Alabama School of Fine Arts.
